I went to the doctor on the second day of my fever but the dengue tests kept on returning negative. The doctor was stumped as to what it was. It was only on day 5 of my hospitalisation that the test turned out positive. Besides the fever, my skin was burning - very sensitive to touch and even materials. My bones were aching so badly. It felt like someone was constantly trying to break them from the inside. I was very lethargic and weary for about 2 months. I’d fall asleep even when I was actively working on my laptop.
